While a high school teacher he taught both chemistry and physics classes.

While not teaching, Dr. Toma spends time with his family, or works in his two large gardens, orchard, and takes care of his honey bee colonies, ducks, and one large Airedale terrier and immerses himself in the beauty of nature about him."

Over the years, I've navigated the intricate landscape of science both as a professional scientist and an educator. This dual experience is what sets me apart as a tutor. I can help you grasp the theory behind scientific concepts while also offering insight into their practical applications.

With a specialization in biology, chemistry, and introductory science courses, I can offer comprehensive support to junior and senior high school students. I also extend my tutoring services to entry-level college students. As a versatile tutor, I'm open to considering other scientific disciplines based on a preliminary consultation with prospective students.

Understanding that the traditional classroom setting may not cater to every student's learning style, I've also developed a strong homeschooling support program. From tutoring homeschooling students to consulting with parents about their science curriculum, I am dedicated to making science accessible outside the traditional school environment.

Furthermore, my expertise extends to assisting with ACT and SAT science prep, Advanced Placement tests in biology, and providing consultation for science fair projects. These special services are designed to offer targeted support to students preparing for these important academic milestones.

However, what truly fuels my work at Nightingale Science Tutoring is my passion for science and education. I am not just your tutor; I am also an enthusiastic advocate for scientific literacy and a mentor keen to inspire a love for science in my students.

With my breadth of experience and commitment to your success, I am confident that I can guide you through your academic challenges and towards your goals. So, let's embark on this exciting journey together! Reach out to me at (507) 676-0810 to discuss how I can support you in your science learning journey.
